#2308 Dorset/Romney/Cheviot 5 lbs 5 oz 3.5" raw Wool Fleece skirted "Eleanor" 2020.
Shorn late April 2020. She is looking at the camera on the left.  And that is her fleece being carried, still warm from shearing.
This is from our small 9 sheep flock in central New York
Rotationally grazed on lush grass from May - Oct
Penned for the winter with access to a small outdoor paddock (they could care less about -xx* F snowy weather!), fed Blue Seal Shepherd 16 grain, Blue Seal minerals, and local grass hay with near zero burdock or thistles.
New well water year round.
Shorn professionally by the same person year after year.
Lightly skirted of nearly all manure, belly wool, and most hay, grass, and straw material.  Unwashed.
All fleece is weighed with the same hanging digital scale after skirting, accurate to 1/10 of a pound.
Stored off ground, in open singular bag, unstacked.  I will check again for any damage or fouling before I pack.
