    Description

    8 oz. Washed and Dyed Turquoise Suri Alpaca Fleece Wool Fiber Spinning. This suri alpaca fleece from Willadean is from the neck fiber shearing of this suri alpaca. The fiber is a 28 to 30 micron. Average staple length is 2 ½” to 4” and there is very light VM (vegetable matter). The color is an intense and unusual turquoise blue shade. The dye color was “mountain aqua”. This animals natural fleece is mostly beige with areas of light fawn so when we dye it the color becomes somewhat variegated. Willadean is a 12 year old female suri alpaca living happily in the California sun shine. Buying quantity one will get you 8 oz. of fleece that is washed, dyed and ready for blending and carding. I recommend using this dyed fiber for blending due to its varied staple lengths and because suri has no crimp nor elasticity. Free shipping.
