Choose your color mulberry or tussah silk roving top felting fiber doll hair 5g

Description

These are 13 luxuriously soft mulberry silk and 2 tussah silk rovings/combed tops in various vibrant colors for you to choose from. Most suitable for handspinning fine yarns, adding to wet/nuno felting projects for extra sheen, fine doll hair (please see fiber length below), and blending/carding with other fibres. The undyed white silks are also very suitable for soapmaking (a pinch of silk will be plenty per soap batch). Silk fiber does not felt on its own, it always needs a feltable fiber, e.g. sheepswool, as a base if used for felting projects. A small amount of silk fiber goes a long way. Please note that the colours in the photos may be slightly different from the original.
The silk fibers are sold by weight.
For a better orientation: One 0.2oz (5g) lot of silk measures about 1 inch (2.5cm) in width and 16-20 inch (40-50cm) in length. Though some lots can be wider/thicker and therefore shorter than stated.
