Description
This is the 3rd Class military train ticket stub (Militar-Fahrschein 3 Klasse) for the leave granted to a soldier that is dated December 28th, 1916 for leave spanning from the 29th to the 15th of January in 1917. The soldier (bio below) is going from Panitzsch in Leipzig to Dorf Whelen if I am reading the progression right. This is a stub the tear-off on the left is gone. I have his leave pass for this trip also listed see below.Measures about 7 x 7 inches.
The soldiers name is Gafonisa? Frigner and was a part of the 45th Artillery Messtrupp (Testing Crew) of the 32nd division of the German Imperial Army. He was inducted in to the Army on the 28th of March, 1914 and eventually became part of the Replacement Battalion for the Artillery Inspection Commission (APK) based out of Berlin, a military authority of the Prussian army of the "highest cabinet order".
This is one part of a set of 7 documents found together so I am confident they all belong to this soldier. While every document does not contain all of this information, I was able to piece together the information from each document to put together his abbreviated bio above. The documents are all listed separately due to the complexity of the information but should probably be preserved together so message me if you are interested in them all before they are sold as I will consider offers on the entirety of the set if reasonable.
