    Description

An even rarer hand written ID card, I assume probably due to the scarcity of supplies during the war.  What is nice about this card is that it is stamped with his unit "Koniglich Preussisches Arufungskommission, Ersatzbataillon Bei Der Artillerie" which was a
Replacement Battalion for the Artillery Inspection Commission (APK) based out of Berlin, a military authority of the Prussian army of the "highest cabinet order"
.  It is dated August 30th, 1917.   It is likely that at this point in his career this soldier was an officer being with this high authority unit.  There are stamps on the reverse from a rail station commander, his "room and board" commander and also from the local army post commander (
    bahnhofskommandantur, ortskommandantur, etappen kommandantur)
shortly after issue of this document.
    Measures about 8.5 x 6.5 inches.
The soldiers name is Gafonisa? Frigner and was a part of the 45th Artillery Messtrupp (Testing Crew) of the 32nd division of the German Imperial Army.  He was inducted in to the Army on the 28th of March, 1914 and eventually became part of the Replacement Battalion for the Artillery Inspection Commission (APK) based out of Berlin, a military authority of the Prussian army of the "highest cabinet order".
This is one part of a set of 7 documents found together so I am confident they all belong to this soldier.  While every document does not contain all of this information, I was able to piece together the information from each document to put together his abbreviated bio above.  The documents are all listed separately due to the complexity of the information but should probably be preserved together so message me if you are interested in them all before they are sold as I will consider offers on the entirety of the set if reasonable.
