Swift's Brookfield Butter Advertising Stamp Collector AlbumHere is an interesting premium of a paperback stamp collector's album from the Swift and Company in Chicago, Illinois advertising their Brookfield Butter.
This album was given as a premium to its customers and the customer's could order foreign stamp packets for a nominal charge but had to include a coupon or label from the butter package for each packet ordered.
Each country in the album had a packet that the stamp collector could order and the purchaser would have every stamp pictured.
This album has been used and most stamps have been removed. About 4 or 5 pages have the remnants of stamp hinges still attached to the pages. 26 stamps still remain in the album but some have become pated to the page. 16 of these stamps are older U. S. stamps.
I can't find a date or copyright in the album but I would estimate that this would be from the late 1940's to early to mid 1950's.
Measures 6 3/4 inches by 9 1/2 inches
