How does it work and how to cheat the particulate filter?
An emulator is a device that generates signals from sensors that control the operation of the DPF particulate filter in such a way that the ECU believes it is clean.
What parameters are formed:
- Simulates a variety or absolute pressure, 1 or 2 exhaust gas temperatures, additional pressure sensor signal, if it available on the machine;
- Takes under attention the thermodynamic model of particulate filter (heat capacity, influence of chemical reactions, dependence of parameters on temperature and pressure);
- The emulator have several tables and about 20 different parameters. All parameters are based on measured values of airflow, one temperature in the exhaust system and in rare cases – atmospheric pressure.
