set comes with six pieces, to fit around the handle portions of the controller.  To reduce friction on the thumbs, the top is not covered. The self-adhesive grips are simple to install, and if they ever have to be taken off, they can be removed without leaving residue on the controller.  A hair dryer is required for installation.
