Spinning has been the craft I picked up last, but has turned into my most productive one, channeling zen-filled hours into yarn for my knitting.  But I've got extra materials in this discipline, as in my needle working pursuits, so I'm offering 6
.2 ounces of hand spinning fiber, composed of 7 lovely
hand combed mini-batts of blended wool from
Unique Blends
for resale to another fiber obsessed eBayer!  The photos of this fiber are representative of the various colors and textures of these batts, but I find it difficult to actually pin down the flow of colors in these batts. I've named it
WHERE RIVER MEETS THE OCEAN,
having observed for myself the blending of colors in natural waters, as they merge.
These mixed wool batts are not really soft enough for next-to-skin apparel, although outerwear would work: but it's probably not a good idea for those sensitive to wool garments or animal hair. I'd planned to use it to spin yarn for knitting afghans, and it's plenty soft enough for that, or other in-home or outerwear projects!
It’s time for me to downsize my smoke-free, pet-friendly home craft studio collection to something I might have a chance to finish in one or two lifetimes! I’m hoping to find eBaying stitchers out there, ready to sit down with their spinning wheels to 'spin a fine yarn' for an anticipated project.  What a blessing to be able to turn our idle hours into productive ones!
