VINTAGE CHINESE SILK HANDSCROLL
“A
CITY of CATHAY”
This is “A City in Cathay” Painting Silk Handscroll from the Chinese National Palace Museum.
The scroll is made of silk and measures over
ten (10) feet long
and 4 inches wide.
There is a wooden dowel in the middle. The item also comes with the original box and the typed descriptive insert.
As fully described in the descriptive insert, this piece is
a color and ink on silk reproduction of the original 1736 painting by five (5) Court painters from the Ch’ien Lung reign in the Ch’ing Dynasty.
